Dr. Blalock grew up in Independence, Missouri and graduated from William Jewell College in Liberty, Missouri, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She went on to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry and fulfilled her childhood ambition of becoming a dentist. After passing her dental boards, she was sworn in as a dental officer in the United States Navy. After eight successful years, she resigned her Naval commission and began a private dental practice. Since that time, she has furthered her dental education and is focusing her energy on patients with snoring, TMJ and facial pain, and sleep apnea. Dr. Blalock has completed more than 100 hours of continuing education a year, in the field of sleep medicine. Dr. Blalock is a qualified provider and member of the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, a Diplomate to the Board of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy, and the International Academy of Sleep . Dr. Alan Barbieri is a Board Certified Orthodontist and is a member of the American Society of Dental Sleep Medicine. He has a Masters Degree in Orthodontics from the Fairleigh Dickinson Graduate School of Orthodontics. Dr. Barbieri had the privilege and honor to serve our soldiers and their families stationed in Germany, where he assisted soldiers with Obstructive Sleep Apnea and, for his service, he received a Letter of Endorsement from the Chief of Sleep Medicine at the Army Hospital.
